Seven Ways to K2

All Roads Lead to K2…

The trek to the Base Camp of K2 is a lifetime goal of most walkers and lovers of mountain scenery. Snowland Treks and Tours is able to offer several different ways of reaching K2 Base Camp, allowing everyone to choose the route, level of challenge, comfort and budget that suits them! On our Classic K2 Base Camp Trek, which includes the opportunity to reach both the real base camp of K2 and also a rest day at Concordia famed for fantastic sunrise and sunset views, this is 14 day treks journey from the airstrip at Skardu through Shigar Valley, Askoli and beside the Baltoro Glacier to Base camp.

If you feel like you can’t do without home comforts, why not see K2 in style on our Honbrok K2 View Point Trek whilst this trek does not go to base camp, you can enjoy the views of K2 from a brand-new route from Hushe Valley and from the comfort of the best lodge accommodation in the Hushe and Khaplu Valley. For something easier which will fit perfectly within a two week holiday our Bondid Valley K2 View Point and Machulu La K2 Panorama Treks also enjoy fantastic views of K2 and stays in the more basic standard accommodation making these cheaper options. For a more adventurous walking holiday, the Gondogoro Valley K2 Panorama follows the footsteps of the early mountaineers’ walk-in from Hushe. On this spectacular 2 weeks journey you will have the opportunity to climb Gondogoro Peak.

For the keen hill-walker, our K2 and Gondogoro La Trek itinerary first treks through the Baltoro Glacier and K2 base camp before crossing the Gondogoro La Pass to Hushe. To see K2 from the west side, K2 Panorama from Rush Phari Trek should be the holiday of your choice. Flying into the North Pakistan capital Gilgit, this holiday offers an insight into the local Hunza culture as well as views of K2. For an altogether different view of K2 from Pakistani Himalayan range, there’s the Deosai Burji La K2 View Point, a wilderness trek to the rarely-visited South side of Skardu.
